How to submit anarticle

1.       Send an email outlining the highlights of yourproposed article. Please include the subject area to which your articleapplies. 

2.       If your topic meets editorial needs, you will beasked to prepare a detailed outline for consideration.

3.       Once the outline is approved, you may write your article. All article submissions are given equal consideration for publication.The main criteria are: relative value of information and perceived readerinterest.

4.       Consideration for publication may take several weeks, depending on the volume of

      articles received.

Article Guidelines:A Checklist for Success

Your article will have a better chance of being published if you follow theseguidelines:

A)       Follow a journalistic style. Keep yourwriting tight, provide adequate detail, and follow a logical progression ofideas. Make sure your facts are correct.

B)       Capture reader attention by using abrief, catchy headline, and lead sentence or paragraph that is relevant to thetopic.

C)       Address readers in a friendly, conversational tone. Avoid complexvocabulary, cliches and excessive jargon.

D)       Add subheads to signal topic changes, and usebullets to make your points easier to understand.

E)       Credit your sources within the article. Do not usefootnotes.

F)       End your article as memorably as it began, witheffective concluding remarks.
